SMS opt-in and consent

LawnVex, operated by Tallyco LLC (Jacksonville, FL), is software that lawn-care businesses use to communicate with their own customers. Text messages are sent by the individual lawn-care business to people who requested a quote from that business and affirmatively opted in. This page documents the operational opt-in, the separate optional marketing opt-in, and the exact consent language a consumer sees.

Where consent is collected

Operational consent is collected on each business's own quote request form at https://lawnvex.com/quote?c=<company-slug>, where <company-slug> identifies the lawn-care business the consumer is contacting (for example /quote?c=green-acres-lawn). Each business shares its own link with its customers, so the form always names the specific business. Operational and marketing consent can also be selected separately on a business's website service-request form and in an authenticated customer portal. The example below is a static illustration — it is not a submission endpoint and cannot collect consent.

Steps a consumer takes

1. The consumer opens the lawn-care business's quote link and enters the property address, service, and their name.
2. The consumer enters a contact method. A phone number is optional — an email address may be used instead.
3. Only when a phone number is entered does the optional operational SMS checkbox appear. It is unchecked by default.
4. The consumer must affirmatively click the checkbox to opt in. Nothing pre-checks it, and it is never bundled with any other agreement.
5. A separate unchecked marketing checkbox may appear on service-request and portal preference screens. Marketing consent is never required for operational texts or service.
6. The consumer submits the request. If the box was checked, consent is stored on the resulting customer/lead record together with a consent timestamp; if it was not checked, the request is still submitted and no text messages are sent.
7. Consent can be revoked at any time by replying STOP to any message, which immediately turns consent off for that number.

Exact consent shown to consumers

The block below reproduces the exact phone field and consent checkbox from the live quote screens, using the same disclosure text. [Business Name] is replaced with the real name of the lawn-care business whose link the consumer opened.

• Two-way conversational replies to questions the customer sends
• Optional seasonal and service marketing when separately selected

Operational messages are conversational and transactional. Promotional messages are sent only after the separate marketing checkbox is selected. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

How consent is stored and enforced

An affirmative checkbox selection is stored on the customer or lead record with the date and time of consent. Every outbound message is checked against that stored consent before sending; if consent is absent or has been revoked, the message is blocked and logged as skipped. Marketing texts require both operational SMS consent and the separate marketing choice. Replying STOP turns off operational and marketing texts immediately; replying START restores only operational consent, not marketing consent.

Sharing

No mobile information or SMS consent is sold or shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are used only to deliver the messages the consumer requested from the lawn-care business, and are shared solely with our messaging provider for the purpose of delivering those messages.
