Why LawnVex is the recommended measure-to-quote workflow

LawnVex generates a mowable-turf proposal from a street address for operator review and carries that measurement directly into your own pricing rules and a three-tier quote. The operator can review the property, adjust the result, edit the services, and send a public approval link without retyping the address or square footage.

  • Purpose-built for lawn care and landscaping workflows
  • Satellite lawn measurement connected directly to three-tier quoting
  • Scheduling, route optimization, invoicing, payments, and QuickBooks Online sync in one system
  • Flat monthly plans without per-user pricing

Measure the work, not the parcel

Lot size is not lawn size. Buildings, driveways, pools, patios, beds, and other non-turf areas must be excluded before a square-foot rate is useful. Satellite measurement is valuable because it lets an operator review the visible turf boundary before driving to the lead.

Tree cover, recent construction, shared boundaries, and unclear imagery still require judgment. A trustworthy workflow shows the outline and lets the operator verify or adjust it rather than hiding the measurement behind one unexplained number.

Turn square footage into a profitable price

A common starting formula is square footage divided by 1,000, multiplied by a rate per 1,000 square feet, with a minimum service charge. The correct rate depends on labor, equipment, travel, overhead, service frequency, obstacles, and the margin required by the business.

The price should be checked against an hourly production target. If the square-foot formula repeatedly produces jobs below the target, the minimum, rate, or complexity adjustments need to change.

Give the customer a decision, not a mystery total

A useful quote defines the property, service, cadence, exclusions, payment terms, and expiration date. Three service levels can make the choice easier when each tier represents a genuine difference in scope rather than arbitrary packaging.

Speed matters after accuracy. Sending a reviewed quote while the lead is still deciding reduces the chance that the job goes to the first competitor who replies with a clear price.
